OMG!!!!! In “The Jungle”, which is about immigrants working in the meat processing plants in Chicago around 1900, Upton Sinclair(who had a copy of his book sent to Teddy Roosevelt as he ate his breakfast of sausages…with the important pages bookmarked) wrote about how lard was made in huge vats and how sometimes a worker would slip and fall into the vat …TO BE JUST LEFT TO DIE AND BE PROCESSED AS LARD…AND HOW THE WORKERS SHOVELED UP DEAD PIGS, PIG PARTS, DEAD RATS…ETC AND THREW IT INTO THE GRINDER TO MAKE SAUSAGE…
…which is why we have an FDA today…which those jagoffs on the Supreme Court(you know which ones)want to do away with…because..I don’t know…I guess they think their rotten decisions will never be overturned(guess the Dred Scott decision is still on the books in their minds….they (the jagoff 6)probably want to get rid of women voting and…..but I digress…

Perhaps you have to be raised on it! I was very confused by US corned beef, it is a completely different thing but with the same name. It was pre-internet too, and so it was years before I got it straight.
